Sustainable rural development begins with strengthening the everyday systems that communities depend on.

Under the project “Holistic Rural Development through Sustainable Agriculture, Women-Led Livelihoods, and Credit Access via Joint Liability Groups,” supported by Manos Unidas and implemented by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra, the focus is on building stronger, more resilient rural communities through practical and community-led interventions.

The project brings together three important areas of development: sustainable agriculture, women-led livelihoods, and access to credit through Joint Liability Groups.

By promoting eco-friendly farming practices, encouraging livelihood opportunities, and strengthening group-based financial access, the project supports rural families in improving both their income security and long-term sustainability.

Activities such as natural fertilizer preparation trainings are part of this larger effort to help farmers reduce cultivation costs, improve soil health, and adopt practices that are better for both the land and the community.

Through this project, BGVK continues to work with rural communities towards healthier farms, stronger livelihoods, and more confident collective action.
