Ahmednagar 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra has been implementing the WDF project at Mathani - Balewadi village. This initiative is a collaboration of NABARD, TPCDT & BGVK. It aims at improving the health of the watershed, which in turn brings a wide range of benefits to the communities living in and around the area. A total of 1134 hectares of area is covered through the water and soil conservation activities. 

This initiative will substantially contribute to increasing the groundwater table and groundwater availability. The agriculture is also being addressed under the climate proofing component. There has been an increase in the use of organic fertilizers, organic culture banks, weather stations, etc. The project is being managed by the village watershed committee. The farmers seem happy about this innovative initiative and are grateful to NABARD, TPCDT, and BGVK for this intervention.
