A Women’s Health Camp and an Awareness Programme on Health and Hygiene were organised at Pimplgav Ujjani to promote preventive healthcare and encourage healthy practices among women in the community.
The health camp provided women with access to basic health check-ups and an opportunity to discuss common health concerns with healthcare professionals. Alongside the camp, awareness sessions focused on the importance of personal hygiene, nutrition, menstrual health, and preventive care. The programme created a safe space for women to ask questions, share experiences, and gain practical knowledge that can be applied in their daily lives.
Access to health information and regular health services remains an important aspect of community wellbeing, particularly in rural areas. Through initiatives like these, BGVK aims to empower women with knowledge and encourage early care-seeking behaviours that contribute to healthier families and communities.
The programme was conducted under the Rural Health and Nutrition Project, supported by Cummins India Foundation and implemented by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra.
By combining healthcare services with awareness and education, the initiative continues to strengthen community health while promoting dignity, wellbeing, and informed choices for women in rural Maharashtra.
