Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) highlighted the progress of the Mathani-Balewadi Watershed Development Fund (WDF) project, implemented in collaboration with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the Tata Power Community Development Trust (TPCDT). The project aimed to combat water scarcity and soil erosion through sustainable watershed management practices.
A recent monitoring visit by NABARD District Development Manager Pathare Sir and Tiwari Sir from TPCDT reinforced the project’s commitment to quality and accountability. The review covered key areas such as the construction quality of check dams and percolation tanks, community participation, and documentation of financial and environmental outcomes.
The monitoring process ensured transparency and efficiency while building confidence among local stakeholders. The Mathani-Balewadi project demonstrated how collaboration and consistent oversight could deliver sustainable improvements in water availability, soil health, and agricultural productivity, benefiting entire communities.
