124 Sports Day of Village Education Project at Ahmednagar and Beed District

Ahmednagar 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a Sports Day for the students in all the 25 villages of Ahmednagar and Beed District. This series of events spanned over 25 days, each taking place in different villages. Altogether 893 children participated in this programme. This initiative was conducted under the agies of the ‘Primary Education Project’ supported by Don Bosco Mondo and Kindermissionwork.

Numerous competitive games were organized on those days, and prizes were distributed to the winners. The primary aim of those sports days was to instill a culture of sports among rural children, fostering their enthusiasm for physical activities. The children wholeheartedly participated in the diverse sporting events, finding immense joy in the experience. The successful organization of those sports days across all villages added a new dimension to their learning experience. It not only provided a platform for showcasing their athletic talents but also promoted teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship.

It encouraged them to explore their interests beyond the classroom, building confidence and a sense of achievement. Those events also highlighted the importance of a balanced approach to education, recognizing the value of both academic and extracurricular pursuits in a child's growth.
