Ahilyanagar (August 2025) Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra organized 10 training sessions on Crop Rotation in the Nagar block of Ahilyanagar district, with a total participation of 425 farmers. The programme aimed at creating awareness among farmers about the scientific practices of crop selection, the importance of crop rotation, and its role in enhancing soil fertility and farm productivity.
During the sessions, farmers were guided on how to plan their fields with suitable crop combinations, the long-term benefits of crop rotation in maintaining soil health, and its role in reducing pest and disease attacks. The trainings also highlighted how adopting crop rotation can improve yields, lower input costs, and promote sustainable agriculture. The enthusiastic participation of farmers reflected their interest in adopting new practices for better farming outcomes.
This initiative not only enhanced farmers’ knowledge but also motivated them to implement crop rotation as a practical and sustainable approach in their fields, ensuring improved livelihoods and agricultural resilience in the region.
