Ahmednagar (January-2024) : Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra in collaboration with the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society (PDMDS), conducted an awareness and interactive session for senior citizens at Madadgaon through Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra under the umbrella of the 'Healthy Ageing' project, supported by the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society.

Mr. Sandip Berad welcomed the participants and explained to them the purpose of having this programme. Mrs. Bhavana Ghatvisave (Staff of BGVK) then oriented the beneficiaries on various topics as Art therapy, Yoga, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Dance Therapy, Speech Therapy, Food and nutrition and many more health problems associated with it. Being an interactive session, many of the participants asked questions which were being clarified by Mrs. Bhavna. The participants appreciated this initiative of BGVK and asked for more regular sessions on monthly basis. This collaborative effort between BGVK and PDMDS not only disseminated valuable information about Parkinson’s and neurological diseases but also served as a platform for interactive learning and engagement, aligning with the overarching goal of promoting healthy aging within the community.
