092 Kala Pathaks Captivate and Educate: BGVK Spreads Awareness on Water, Soil, and Sanitation in Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar 2024:  Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized Kala Pathak in the Mathani – Balewadi Villages of Ahmednagar District as part of the WDF project, supported by NABARD and Tata Power Community Development Trust.

Utilizing street plays or "Kala Pathaks" as a medium for Watershed, Health and Sanitation Awareness proves to be an effective and engaging communication strategy. The incorporation of street plays and cultural troupes to disseminate information about health and related schemes harnesses the power of art, culture, and community involvement to effectively convey crucial information, making it more accessible and fostering positive change within communities.

The program commenced with a welcome note from Mr. Dattatray Gaikwad (Staff - BGVK), where he provided insights into the 'Watershed Development Fund ' Project and its activities. Subsequently, the Kala Pathak team addressed various topics, including Pani Adava, Pani Jirva, Crop Insurance, Drip and sprinkler irrigation, Agri related schemes and more through their folk art.

The farmers were very grateful to TPCDT, NABARD and BGVK for organizing a wonderful program.
