091 Women Farmers Embrace Sustainable Agriculture: BGVK Organizes Insightful Exposure Visit to KVK Babhaleshwar 

Ahmednagar: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized exposure visit to Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Babhaleshwar for the women farmers of Sandwa, Mandwa, Bhatodi and Dashmigavhan villages as part of the ‘A women-led empowering action’ project implemented with Caritas India and BGVK as the implementing agency. Altogether 35 women participated in this exposure visit.

The main objective of this exposure was to expose them to new ideas about the advanced technology in agriculture. The women were shown various demonstrations on chemical free farming i.e., usage of Jivamrut, Vermin compost, Nim ark, Organic Culture banks and various varieties of fruit saplings. They were guided on making organic fertilizers, pesticides and adapting the mixed cropping patterns in their farms. The women were very grateful to Caritas India & BGVK.
