151 Pediatric Health Camps in Rural Madhya Pradesh Benefit 141 Children
Ahmednagar 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized four health camps in the villages of Dewas and Pitambar blocks in Indore District, Madhya Pradesh, benefiting 141 children. These camps were conducted as part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, generously supported by Cummins India Foundation.
Pediatric health camps in rural areas play a crucial role in enhancing healthcare accessibility, advocating preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs within communities where regular healthcare services are limited. These initiatives significantly contribute to the overall well-being of children and bolster community health initiatives. They serve as a means of early detection of health issues, enabling timely intervention and preventive measures for effective health condition management.
The health camps were conducted in collaboration with doctors from various reputable hospitals, including Dr. Himanshi, Dr. Pournima Raut, and their respective teams, who examined the children in the villages. The smooth operation of the camps was ensured by Mr. Vilas Alhat (Staff BGVK).
The residents of the villages expressed their gratitude to Cummins India and BGVK for the invaluable support provided through these pediatric health camps, which have a positive and lasting impact on the health and well-being of the community's children.
