Ahmednagar: The Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK)organized an interactive training session on ‘Government Schemes’ for the SHG women in Ahmednagar and Ashti (Beed) blocks. 816women benefited through these training programs held under the aegis of project ‘Holistic Empowerment of SHG women’ financially supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

The session started with the welcome note by Mr. Sandip Berad (Staff - BGVK) in which he spoke about the ‘Holistic Empowerment of SHG women’ Project and the activities of BGVK. Mr Gavhane conducted the government schemes training session and he explained following aspects of finance:

• Legal financial schemes

• Government Schemes such as Samrudha Jivan yojana, PPF, Atal Pension Yojana, Jiwan Jyoti yojana, Post office saving Schemes etc.

• Insurance schemes – Important of Term Insurance and Health Insurance

Participants were actively involved and some of them also shared how they were cheated by illegal financial schemes and lost their savings. Program ended with vote of thanks by Fr George D’Abreo (Director - BGVK).
