061 SHG Training programme for Mathni - Balewadi women
Ahmednagar 2023: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a Capacity Building Training for the women of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the Mathani-Balewadi Villages of Ahmednagar District. This initiative is a part of the WDF project, supported by NABARD and Tata Power Community Development Trust.
Recognizing the pivotal role of self-help group capacity building trainings, the program aimed at fostering both individual and collective growth, promoting sustainability, and enabling groups to adeptly address challenges and achieve their objectives. The training sought to empower individuals within self-help groups by augmenting their skills, knowledge, and confidence. Such empowerment is indispensable for members to seize control of their lives, make informed decisions, and actively participate in community affairs.
This training afforded participants valuable opportunities to acquire new skills, including financial management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving. The overarching goal was to ensure the long-term sustainability of self-help groups by equipping members with the necessary skills and knowledge. This strategic preparation enables groups to effectively navigate challenges, adapt to changes, and maintain operational effectiveness over time.
The resource persons for this training program were Mr. Gavhane and Mr. Salve. The participants expressed their contentment and gratitude to BGVK for organizing this insightful program. Mr. Todmal, a dedicated member of the BGVK staff, extended a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the training, concluding the event on a positive note.
