Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), with the support of the Manos Unidas Foundation, organized a workshop on natural fertilizers in Pimpalgaon Landaga to promote environmentally sustainable farming practices.
The training focused on composting, vermicomposting, and biochar preparation using locally available agricultural and animal residues. Participants learned the scientific principles behind these methods and discovered how to produce high-quality organic fertilizers with minimal cost.
By adopting natural fertilizers, farmers reduced their dependence on expensive chemical inputs, lowered production costs, and improved soil fertility and water retention. The shift toward organic methods enhanced long-term farm productivity while reducing pollution and promoting environmental conservation.
This initiative demonstrated BGVK’s commitment to supporting sustainable, farmer-led solutions for agricultural resilience.
