Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), with the support of BMZ and Don Bosco MONDO, conducted the WELEAD program for Elected Women Representatives (EWR) in Babhaleshwer to strengthen women’s participation in local governance. The initiative focused on building leadership, administrative, and financial management skills among rural women in elected positions.
Participants received comprehensive training on local governance structures, budgeting, participatory planning, and gender-responsive decision-making. The sessions helped them gain confidence in addressing community issues and advocating for inclusive policies that reflect women’s and marginalized groups’ needs.
By enhancing the capacity of Elected Women Representatives, the program promoted more transparent, inclusive, and effective local governance. It contributed to stronger community leadership and greater recognition of women’s roles in driving rural development.
