030 Vaccination Camp for the Children and Pregnant women from the Migrant Community

Ahmednagar : Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized vaccination camp for the children and Pregnant women from the migrant community in the five hamlets of Ahmednagar city. Many children and the Pregnant women were vaccinated in this camp held under the aegis of ‘A project for Migrant Children’ supported by Salesian Missions. Vaccines are designed to protect children from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases caused by viruses and bacteria. By vaccinating children, we prevent the spread of diseases and create herd immunity. Many childhood diseases that were once widespread and deadly, such as measles, polio and diphtheria, have been brought under control or eradicated due to vaccination programmes. Top of FormThis vaccination camp and the awareness was organized in collaboration with the Primary Health Centres (PHC’s). The main objective was the camp to create awareness on the importance of vaccination to the children and pregnant women. Mrs. Dalvi and Mrs. Sanap were the resource persons for the camp. They guided people on the vaccination schedule and its importance in following it.  Ms. Bhavana Ghatvisave (Coordinator – BGVK) proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the camp. The people were very happy and grateful to the organization for this initiative.
