235 0–6-year-old child health camp at Mhase, Ahmednagar District
Ahmednagar- July 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized health camps in Mhase village of Ahmednagar district, benefiting 63 children. This camp was conducted as part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, generously supported by the Cummins India Foundation.
Health camp for children in village play a crucial role in enhancing healthcare accessibility, advocating preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs within communities where regular healthcare services are limited. These initiatives significantly contribute to the overall well-being of children and bolster community health initiatives. They serve as a means of early detection of health issues, enabling timely intervention and preventive measures for effective health condition management.
This health camp was conducted in collaboration with doctors from various reputable hospitals, including Dr. Anita Sonawane and their respective teams, who examined the children in the villages. The smooth operation of the camps was ensured by Mr. Vilas Alhat (BGVK staff). The village residents expressed gratitude to Cummins India and BGVK for the invaluable support provided through these health camps, positively impacting the health and well-being of the community's children.
