Ahmednagar 2023: Samaj Vikas Samiti organized a Poultry Rearing training session in Lakhephal village at Newasa, with Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) serving as the knowledge partner. The participants comprised solely of women from Lakhephal village, and the training focused on effective poultry management. The primary emphasis was on reducing morbidity and mortality rates, as well as minimizing the cost of fodder.

Mr. Balasaheb Gaikwad, a Senior Poultry Expert, served as the main resource person for the training. The program also aimed to provide alternative livelihood options for women, complementing their involvement in agriculture. All the trainees expressed their appreciation for the valuable insights gained during the training, emphasizing its importance in enhancing their poultry rearing skills and offering new avenues for sustainable livelihoods.
