Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra organised a CSO Review Meeting cum Refresher Training under the WELEAD– Women Empowerment and Leadership for Effective Administration and Development project on 2nd July 2026. The programme brought together representatives from partner Civil Society Organisations for a day of reflection, sharing and learning.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of activities carried out under the project and to understand the experiences, challenges and learnings from the field. Representatives from different CSOs shared updates from their respective areas and discussed ways to strengthen community-level engagement, especially around women’s participation in local governance and development processes.
The refresher training helped participants revisit important aspects of women’s leadership, effective administration, community mobilisation and collective action. The discussions encouraged participants to look at leadership as a continuous process of building confidence, creating awareness and enabling women to participate more actively in decision-making spaces.
A key focus of the programme was to strengthen coordination among partner CSOs. By sharing field realities and practical experiences, participants were able to learn from one another and reflect on better ways to support women at the grassroots level. The session also highlighted the importance of regular follow-up, documentation and collaboration for effective implementation.
Through the WElead project, BGVK continues to work towards empowering women from rural and marginalised communities by building their leadership capacities and encouraging their active involvement in community development.
The programme is being implemented by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra with the support of Don Bosco Mondo and BMZ. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen women’s leadership through reflection, learning and collaboration.
