262 Cataract Camp at Mhase in Ahmednagar District

Ahmednagar–August 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a comprehensive Eye Check-Up Camp in Mhase village, Ahmednagar district, benefiting 96 individuals. This initiative, part of the Health and Nutrition Project supported by Cummins India Foundation, aimed to promote early detection of eye conditions and prevent visual impairments. The camp, conducted in collaboration with doctors from Budarani Hospital, Pune, provided essential eye care services to the community. During the camp, 74 individuals received prescription glasses, and three were referred to Budarani Hospital for cataract surgery.

Mr. Vilas, a dedicated BGVK staff member, efficiently managed the camp’s operations, ensuring that many community members could benefit from these vital services. The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Cummins India Foundation and BGVK for leading this important initiative, which significantly contributed to the well-being of the vision of the people in the community.
