Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), organized a WASH (Water, Sanitation and Health) awareness session in 65 schools across the districts of Ahilyanagar, Beed and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. As part of its “Empowerment of Students through Education and Career Orientation Project” supported by the ATOS PRAYAS Foundation. Altogether 5289 students were aware from this initiative.
As part of our commitment to promoting health and hygiene among young children, these sessions specifically targeted students from 1st to 4th standard, focusing on instilling essential hygiene practices at an early age.
Through interactive demonstrations, storytelling, and engaging activities, the children were educated about the importance of handwashing, clean drinking water, proper toilet usage, and overall personal hygiene. The sessions aimed not only to enhance students’ awareness but also to encourage behavioural change that contributes to a healthier school environment and community.
Teachers and school staff expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting the positive impact it had on the children’s understanding of hygiene. These efforts align with BGVK’s broader mission of building a healthier, more informed generation through early intervention and education.
