149 Health Camps Benefit Children in Phaltan, Satara District
Ahmednagar 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized 19 health camps in nineteen villages of the Phaltan blocks in Satara District, benefiting 679 children. These camps were conducted as part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, generously supported by the Cummins India Foundation.
Health camps for children in villages play a crucial role in enhancing healthcare accessibility, advocating preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs within communities where regular healthcare services are limited. These initiatives significantly contribute to the overall well-being of children and bolster community health initiatives. They serve as a means of early detection of health issues, enabling timely intervention and preventive measures for effective health condition management.
These health camps were conducted in collaboration with doctors from various reputable hospitals, including Dr. Mahadeo Pol and their respective teams, who examined the children in the villages. The smooth operation of the camps was ensured by Mr. Vilas Alhat (BGVK staff). The residents of the villages expressed their gratitude to Cummins India and BGVK for the invaluable support provided through these health camps, which have a positive and lasting impact on the health and well-being of the community's children.
