Ahmednagar - 2025: A learning exchange visit was recently organized for a group of scholastics from Nashik to the Watershed Development Fund (WDF) project sites in Ranjani and Mathani-Balewadi villages. The purpose of this visit was to foster knowledge sharing and practical learning by observing the implementation and impact of successful watershed development initiatives led by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK).
During the visit, the scholastics were introduced to a range of soil and water conservation structures such as farm bunding, continuous contour trenches (CCTs), water absorption trenches (WATs), and stone outlets. They interacted with local farmers, community members, and BGVK field staff to understand the planning, execution, and community involvement processes that contributed to the success of the projects.
This exposure visit served as a platform for mutual learning and inspiration, enabling the visitors to explore ways of replicating similar sustainable development practices in their own regions.
