A training programme on natural fertilizer preparation and sustainable farming practices was organised for farmers in Jomdara village. The session aimed to promote environmentally friendly agricultural methods that improve soil health while reducing dependence on chemical inputs.
During the training, participants learned how to prepare and use natural fertilizers using locally available materials. Discussions focused on the benefits of sustainable agriculture, including improved soil fertility, reduced cultivation costs, and long-term productivity. Farmers also shared their experiences and explored practical ways to incorporate these practices into their farming systems.
Natural farming approaches play an important role in building resilient agricultural communities by promoting healthier soils and sustainable resource use. By equipping farmers with practical knowledge and skills, the training encouraged greater confidence in adopting eco-friendly cultivation methods.
The activity was conducted under the project “Holistic Rural Development through Sustainable Agriculture, Women-Led Livelihoods, and Credit Access via Joint Liability Groups,” supported by Manos Unidas and implemented by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra.
Through such initiatives, the project continues to strengthen sustainable agriculture, enhance rural livelihoods, and contribute to resilient communities across the region.
