Introduction
In a powerful step toward shaping the future of young minds, Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) hosted a Career Guidance Programme in Ahilyanagar in 2025. This initiative, supported by the Atos Prayas Foundation, brought together 1,893 students from 48 schools across Ahilyanagar, Beed, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts. Aimed at empowering 10th and 12th standard students, the programme offered vital insights into career opportunities and higher education pathways.
Event Details
The event began with a warm welcome from Mr. Arjun Sharnagate, who highlighted the importance of early career planning. Expert counsellors—Fr. Ajay D’Monty, Mr. Rohan Shelke, and Mr. Sandip Berad—led engaging sessions, covering academic streams like Science, Commerce, Arts, and vocational education. They provided detailed guidance on professional fields such as engineering, medicine, law, defense services, agriculture, and design, alongside strategies for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and NDA. Students also learned about scholarships and government schemes to support their educational journeys. A motivational talk by Fr. George D’Abreo and an interactive Q&A session further enriched the experience.
Impact and Importance
This programme equipped students with the tools and confidence to make informed career choices, addressing a critical need in rural education. By bridging the gap between ambition and opportunity, BGVK fostered a sense of purpose and direction among the youth, paving the way for their personal and community growth.
Community Feedback
The response was overwhelmingly positive. One student shared, "This programme opened my eyes to so many possibilities I wasn’t aware of. I feel more confident about choosing my career path now." Teachers and students alike called for more such sessions, underscoring the event’s success.
BGVK remains dedicated to empowering students through education and career orientation, strengthening communities one step at a time. Stay tuned for more initiatives that inspire and uplift our youth!
