Ahilyanagar (September 2025) - Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), under the Rural Health and Nutrition project supported by Cummins India Foundation, Pune, organized an Employee Engagement for Empowering Communities (EEEC) activity in the villages of Kheda and Lohar Pipliya, Madhya Pradesh. The initiative aimed to strengthen community outreach through the active participation of Cummins staff as volunteers.
During the activity, volunteers engaged with children and community members through interactive sessions, awareness talks, and health-related activities. They assisted in organizing medical check-ups, shared valuable insights on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive health practices, and encouraged children to adopt healthy daily habits. Their involvement not only enhanced the programme impact but also created a sense of solidarity between corporate volunteers and the rural community.
The presence of Cummins staff brought energy, enthusiasm, and a personal touch to the initiative, leaving a lasting impression on the children and families. The community members expressed gratitude to Cummins India Foundation and BGVK for facilitating such meaningful interactions that bridged gaps between urban professionals and rural beneficiaries.
The EEEC activity proved to be a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, volunteerism, and community empowerment, reinforcing the collective commitment towards health, education, and well-being of rural children.
