280 Child Health Camp at Vithhalwadi in Satara District
Ahmednagar- September 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized health camps in Vithhalwadi village of Satara district, benefiting 43 children. This initiative was part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, generously supported by the Cummins India Foundation.
Health camps in rural villages play a crucial role in improving access to healthcare, promoting preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs in communities where regular healthcare services are often limited. These efforts significantly enhance the overall well-being of children and strengthen community health initiatives. They also serve as a means for the early detection of health issues, enabling timely interventions and effective management of health conditions.
The health camp was conducted in collaboration with doctors from various reputable hospitals, including Dr. Pol and their teams, who conducted medical examination for the children. The smooth operation of the camps was overseen by Mr. Vilas Alhat, a dedicated BGVK staff member. The village residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to Cummins India Foundation and BGVK for their invaluable support, recognizing the positive impact these health camps have had on the health and well-being of their children.
