Ahmednagar – 2025: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), Ahmednagar, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on its premises. The event brought together staff members, community representatives, children, and beneficiaries from various ongoing projects. The program began with the unfurling of the national flag by the Director of BGVK, followed by the singing of the national anthem.
In his address, the Fr. Bento D’Souza highlighted the importance of the Constitution, values of democracy, and the role of citizens in building an inclusive and equitable society. Children from the migrant community and local schools presented cultural performances, including patriotic songs, speeches, and group dances, emphasizing unity in diversity and national pride.
The celebration also featured a brief exhibition showcasing BGVK’s initiatives in the fields of education, health, livelihood, and women's empowerment. Staff and community leaders shared success stories reflecting the spirit of grassroots development and empowerment.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and distribution of sweets to all attendees. The celebration served as a reminder of our collective responsibilities and inspired everyone to contribute actively to nation-building through community service and social commitment.
