Ahilyanagar (2025) – Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), in collaboration with the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society (PDMDS), organized Healthy Ageing sessions for women in Ukkadgaon and Takali Kazi villages.
The programme aimed to enhance physical, mental, and social well-being among older adults, with a special focus on Parkinson’s disease and neurological disorders. Mrs. Ranjana Kamble welcomed participants, while Mrs. Bhavana Ghatvisave from BGVK conducted interactive orientations on art therapy, yoga, physiotherapy, counselling, speech therapy, and nutrition.
Participants actively engaged by asking questions and sharing experiences. Many expressed appreciations for the initiative and requested regular monthly sessions. The collaboration between BGVK and PDMDS empowered women to adopt healthier lifestyles and fostered awareness on ageing with dignity.
