008 Christmas Celebrations for 112 Migrant Kids in Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) 17-Dec-2022: The Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a Christmas celebration (cum Children’s Day) for the students who are the beneficiaries of the Migrant Children’s Project. Altogether 112 children from migrant families participated in the programme which was fully supported by SALESIAN MISSION.

Fr. George D’Abreo (Director –BGVK) was the Chief Guest for the programme. There was an entrainment session organized for these kids, the magician then mesmerized the little impressionable minds for over an hour. Besides being surprised with some spot prizes, the children were also treated to a sumptuous fellowship meal.

The second half of the day was the cultural festival – celebrating the diversity of India. This cultural event included colorful cultural feast of traditional, contemporary and folk dances some of which dealt with pertinent social themes. The Christmas Celebrations ended by giving every child a small gift and by capturing the moment with group photos.

Fr George in his vote of thanks specially thanked SALESIAN MISSION for their support not only for this programme but also for sponsoring the entire project. He also thanked all the teachers who teach these kids daily.
