Ahilyanagar (August 2025): Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), with the support of Atos Prayas Foundation, successfully organized training programme on the POCSO Act and Reproductive Health for adolescent girls studying in 8th to 10th standard at Gangadevi and Sawargaon villages, Ashti block, Ahilyanagar district.
The session on the POCSO Act covered its objectives, importance, the four key provisions, the concept of good touch and bad touch, and the roles and responsibilities of parents and teachers in ensuring child safety. The session aimed to create awareness among the girls about their rights and protection against abuse.
On Reproductive Health, participants were guided on topics such as the monthly menstrual cycle, the importance of nutrition and balanced food, personal care, and overall health awareness. The training emphasized healthy practices, self-care, and the significance of understanding changes during adolescence.
The programme was interactive and informative, equipping the adolescent girls with essential knowledge for their safety, well-being, and healthy development.
