Ahmednagar (August 2025) – Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), with support from Manos Unidas, organized awareness sessions on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act under its Primary Education Project.
The programme aimed to strengthen child protection mechanisms by educating children, parents, teachers, and community leaders on the legal provisions of the Act, methods of reporting abuse, and the collective responsibility of safeguarding children.
The initiative reached 20 schools and 620 participants, who shared that the sessions deepened their understanding of child safety and reinforced their responsibility in protecting children. Communities pledged to create safe and supportive environments for all children.
