Ahmednagar, 2023: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a comprehensive Eye Check-Up Camp for the residents of Parewadi Village. A total of 69 individuals benefited from this initiative, conducted under the auspices of the Women Empowerment Project supported by Manos Unidas.

Eye Check-Up camps play a pivotal role in early detection, which is crucial for identifying eye conditions and preventing visual impairments. This proactive and community-centric approach aims to promote eye health, prevent visual impairments, and ensure accessibility to eye care services for diverse populations. The camp was conducted in collaboration with a team of doctors from Dr. Manohar Dole Medical Hospital in Pune. During the camp, individuals received prescription glasses, and patients were referred to Dr. Manohar Dole Medical Hospital for cataract surgery.

Mr. Sandip, a staff member of BGVK, efficiently managed the operations of the camp, ensuring that a significant number of people could benefit from the services provided. The villagers expressed sincere gratitude to Cummins India Foundation and BGVK for spearheading this valuable initiative, emphasizing its impact on community well-being.
