Ahmednagar- 2025: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a Kisan Credit Cards Camp for the farmers in the Mathani – Balewadi Village of Ahmednagar District. This initiative is a part of the WDF project, supported by NABARD and Tata Power Community Development Trust.
The objective of the camp was facilitating easy access to institutional credit for farmers under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme. The camp was conducted in collaboration with local banks and the Agriculture Department. During the event, farmers were informed about the benefits of the KCC scheme, including low-interest agricultural loans, flexible repayment options, and insurance coverage for crop losses. Bank representatives guided farmers through the application process, helped in form filling, and collected necessary documents on the spot. Many farmers expressed their satisfaction, as the camp made it easier for them to access financial support for agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation. The initiative was well received and proved beneficial in promoting financial inclusion and empowering farmers at the grassroots level.
