013 Income Generation Training for village Women
Ahmednagar: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), Ahmednagar organized a two-days training on ‘Agarbatti Making’ for 21 women from Agadgaon, Ratadgaon, Mehekari and Mathani. This training programme was held under the aegis of ‘Micro Enterprise Collectives Project’ supported by Tata Power Community Development Trust, Mumbai.
The objective of the training was to impart skills and knowledge on incense stick making as micro business for supplementary income to the families connected with this project.
At the very outset, Fr. George (Director- BGVK) welcomed all the participants and motivated women to start some enterprise post training. Mrs. Najiya Patel (Resource Person) of the programme began the training with an introduction.
During the training the participants learnt production of Handmade Incense stick and Dhoop. The participants were also taught marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and branding of the product. The participants were confident to start a business. Mr. Arjun Sharnagate (Staff-BGVK) proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
