268 Women’s Health Camp in villages of Surwadi, Mirgaon, Malwadi and Vadgaon at Phaltan Block
Ahmednagar- August 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized health camps in the villages of Surwadi, Mirgaon, Malwadi, and Vadgaon in Satara district, as part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, supported by Cummins India Foundation. These camps provided essential healthcare services to 450 women, addressing various health concerns with a strong emphasis on preventive measures.
These health camps are crucial for enhancing healthcare accessibility in rural areas, promoting preventive care, and addressing specific health needs, thereby significantly contributing to overall community well-being. During the camps, Dr. Pol led medical check-ups and comprehensive awareness sessions on topics such as menopause, PCOD, cervical cancer, and other prevalent health issues among women. Additionally, educational materials and follow-up plans were provided to ensure long-term health benefits.
Mr. Vilas Alhat played a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of these events, coordinating with local authorities and the healthcare team to maximize outreach and impact. The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Cummins India Foundation and BGVK for their invaluable support, recognizing the positive impact these camps had on their health and well-being.
