Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), January 2023: The Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) has been implementing a Project on “Empowering Civil Society Organizations” since 14 months. It has been giving on Capacity Building trainings to 96 Civil Society Organizations and 31 Organizations TOT training. This project was fully supported by Don Bosco Mondo in collaboration with Bosconet and Don Bosco Development Society, Mumbai.

The capacity building programmes dealt with the following topics: Participatory Approach, Advocacy, Negotiation skills, Lobbying and Government Welfare Schemes. Along with these trainings the CSO’s were also given sessions on Audit, change reports, 12A, 80G and fund raising. On the day of certification ceremony, the CSO’s shared their experiences and their testimonies on how they benefitted from these trainings. All the CSO’s were indebted to Don Bosco for its initiatives in building their capacities. They also said that they were able to reach to 35500 people through the various government schemes. At the end the programme, Fr. George the Director of Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra thanked all the CSO’s and the staff for their whole hearted participation in this programme. They thanked Don Bosco Mondo for their monitory support for this project.
