Ahmednagar 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a demonstration of organic manure in Watephal village at Ahmednagar district. Altogether 21 women participated in these programmes held under the aegis of project ‘A Women Led Empowering Animation’ financially supported by Caritas India.    

The resource person for this training was Mrs. Ashwini Gund. Three organic culture demonstrations were set up in the village. Sr. Nisha, BGVK co-ordinator, took them on an exposure visit to an ideal village where the farmers got a demo on making the organic culture. 

These de-composers will help farmers to reduce the cost of agricultural production and do away with the usage of the chemicals. It is an alternative to the chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The farmers were also made aware of the cost ratio between organic fertilizers, pesticides and chemical fertilizers. It will also help in maintaining ecological balance and deal with climate change. The farmers were grateful to BGVK and Caritas India for this initiative.
