293 Child Health Camp at Sasewadi in Ahmednagar District
Ahmednagar- October 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a health camp in Sasewadi village, Satara district, benefiting 42 children. This initiative was part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, generously supported by the Cummins India Foundation.
Health camps in rural areas are crucial for improving access to healthcare, promoting preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs in communities where regular medical services are often scarce. These initiatives significantly enhance the overall well-being of children and contribute to strengthening community health efforts. Additionally, they facilitate early detection of health issues, enabling timely interventions and effective management of medical conditions.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with doctors from various reputable hospitals, including Dr. Anita Sonawane and her team, who provided thorough medical examinations for the children. The smooth execution of the camp was overseen by Mr. Vilas Alhat, a dedicated BGVK staff member. Village residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Cummins India Foundation and BGVK for their invaluable support, recognizing the positive impact these health camps have had on the health and well-being of their children.
