Ahilyanagar – May 2025 – Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), under the Rural Health and Nutrition Project supported by Cummins India Foundation, organized Ayushman Card Registration Camps in the villages of Adraki Khurd, Aradgaon, and Mulikwadi in the Phaltan block. These camps were aimed at enabling eligible beneficiaries to register for the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), which provides free health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakhs per family per year.
The initiative was especially significant for underserved and economically weaker sections of society, who often face financial barriers in accessing medical treatment. The camp facilitated document verification, on-the-spot registration, and issue of Ayushman health cards, making it easier for residents to avail themselves of free treatment at empanelled hospitals across the country.
The active participation of local community members reflected their eagerness to benefit from this government scheme. BGVK’s field team, led by Mr. Vilas and other dedicated staff, ensured smooth coordination, guidance, and assistance throughout the process. Community members expressed their gratitude to BGVK for bringing such a meaningful initiative to their doorstep, further reinforcing the organization’s mission to build healthier and more empowered rural communities. They were grateful to Cummins India Foundation and Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra.
