175 BGVK and Manos Unidas Conduct health Camp for Women in Mulewadi

Ahmednagar- June 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized a health camp in Aranvihira village, located in the Beed district. A total number of 59 women benefited from these camps conducted as part of the ‘Holistic Empowerment of SHG women’ financially supported by ‘Manos Unidas, Spain’. 

Health camps play a crucial role in addressing diverse healthcare needs, embodying a proactive approach to public health. They focus on preventive healthcare measures, including health check-ups, vaccinations, and awareness programs. These initiatives significantly contribute to improving healthcare accessibility, promoting preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs, thereby fostering the overall well-being of communities.

Mrs. Vandana Chavan assisted in the camp, conducting awareness sessions and check-ups on various topics such as Menopause, White & Red Discharge, Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), cervical cancer, Breast lump, B.P, Sugar check-up, HB check-up, and distribution of sanitary napkins.

Mr. Sandip Berad, a staff member of BGVK, ensured the smooth operations of the entire camp. The villagers expressed their gratitude to Manos Unidas and BGVK for their support.
