Ahmednagar, October 2024: Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) organized health camps at Mhase village, in Ahmednagar district, benefiting 53 children. This initiative was part of the 'Rural Health and Nutrition' project, generously supported by the Cummins India Foundation, Pune.
Health camps for children in rural villages play a crucial role in improving healthcare accessibility, promoting preventive measures, and addressing specific health needs in communities where regular medical services are limited. These initiatives significantly enhance the overall well-being of children and strengthen community health efforts by facilitating early detection of health issues, enabling timely intervention and effective management of health conditions.
The health camp was conducted in collaboration with doctors from reputable hospitals, including Dr. Anita Sonawane and their respective teams, who provided examinations for the children. The smooth operation of the camp was coordinated by Mr. Vilas Alhat, a BGVK staff member. The village residents expressed their gratitude to Cummins India and BGVK for the invaluable support provided through these health camps, which have positively impacted the health and well-being of the community's children.
