Ahilyanagar (August 2025) – Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), under the Holistic Rural Development through Sustainable Agriculture, Women-Led Livelihoods, and Credit Access via Joint Liability Groups Project supported by Manos Unidas, conducted specialized training on natural fertilizers for farmers in Nagar block.
The programme highlighted the benefits of eco-friendly inputs such as Jeevamrut, Vermicompost, and liquid bio-fertilizers to improve soil fertility, reduce chemical dependency, and boost productivity. A total of 369 farmers from 10 villages participated, with 83 farmers immediately beginning to prepare their own fertilizers post-training. This initiative promoted sustainable agriculture while lowering farming costs and conserving soil health.
Farmers expressed gratitude to Manos Unidas and BGVK for empowering them with sustainable practices.
