287 Mission LIFE – TERRI Awareness Programme on Healthy Lifestyle Adopted (Swachhata Actions)

Ahmednagar, October 2024: Ahmednagar, October 2024: TERI EIACP – PC Resource Partner on Renewable Energy & Climate Change, in collaboration with Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra, Ahmednagar, organized an Awareness Programme on the "Healthy Lifestyle Adopted (Swachhata Actions)" Mission LiFE – Lifestyle for Environment, in the village of Tondali, Taluka Paithan, District Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The main objective of the programme was to promote the Mission LiFE initiative. The Chief Guest for the programme was Mrs. Pallavi Singh from TERRI, accompanied by other dignitaries from the village, including the village head (Sarpanch).

The programme began with a prayer song performed by a team of street play artists, reflecting the local culture. Mr. Vijay Gaikwad provided the introduction to the event, followed by the felicitation of all the dignitaries. Mr. Sandip Berad addressed the students and villagers, speaking about environmental preservation, the harmful effects of chemicals on agriculture, the need to reduce plastic usage in daily life, and the importance of a healthy diet. This was followed by a street play and a Bharud (a traditional cultural performance) focused on environmental sustainability, sustainable agriculture, and the role of citizens in protecting Mother Earth, which was well received by the audience.

Br. Alex from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar provided guidance on village development and tree planting. Mr. P. K. Bhatacharya, from TERRI, spoke about eco-friendly farming practices, reducing chemical usage and conserving the environment. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Pallavi Singh, concluded by explaining TERRI's Mission LiFE initiative to the students and villagers, encouraging everyone to make small lifestyle changes to help create a better planet.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Vijay Gaikwad from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar followed by snacks for all attendees.
